- "I've used these for about a year and a half and bought them after hearing a review from someone who been using his for over five years with no problems. The review pretty much tracks with my experience using them. I've been surprisingly satisfied with the rubberized handles - they haven't shown any sign of wearing down like similar grips on other products I've used. The only two minor quirks I've noticed that weren't mentioned in the review: 1) When they're set at/near max weight, I've had to hold down the base to keep it from coming along with the dumbbell (which can be a feature rather than a bug if you want to move the base, I suppose). 2) They can be a bit finicky when being re-seated in the base, so you have to be pretty dead-on when doing so. Overall, though, they have all the design features everyone loves in Nuobell at the price of Bowflex 552s. Trainees will outgrow them on compound lifts pretty quickly, though, and I'm a bit surprised they still don't offer a version that tops out in the 70-80 pound range. On the plus-side, that shortcoming encouraged me to go full home gym bro and include a rack and barbell in my setup." — @@TeianDown
